Inspiration and Visionary Art

Jan 30, 2009 Anna Lobsanova

Art that portrays the unseen spiritual world is created by seers and visionary artists that are inspired by sensitive perception.

Art can convey thoughts and emotions and it can also reveal the unseen, sublime world. People that experience sensitivity to their surroundings can be good at expressing the inspiration and sense of being alive; They might receive an influx of information or be in a state of awe at the world, which is why they try to capture the high moments in works of art.

Unseen Spiritual Realm

There is an uncertainty about what is beyond visible reality, but there are things that cannot be seen by ordinary perception of the eyes. The eye can see only the visible light spectrum and the far more extreme forces are out of the limits of vision. This means that there are energy and phenomena that cannot be sensed by normal means.

However there are certain states of mind that allow people to experience the unseen. During sleep, dreaming is an inspiration and experience of a subtle perception by the finer, inner being or soul. Whereas in the waking world the body observes the external view, in the dream state the soul sees a different image that is unlimited by the boundaries of the visible world.

Clairvoyant Art and Esotericism

There are many impressions transmitted from everywhere, and this energy is received through vibration and radiation, and can be sensed in many ways. The unseen energy is thought to be perceived by different kinds of clairvoyance, psychic seeing, hearing or knowing. These mystical concepts of esotericism explore what is possible.

Artists have a vivid pictorial awareness, and if they obstruct themselves from preconceptions about the images they perceive, can actually reveal and portray them for what they really are. There is a different perspective that is experienced subjectively, but like the unobservable microcosm, it does exist and can be perceived.

Visionary Artists

Art of the seers can express what this subtle reality is. The vision of the fine universe and its designs is insight into the unknown, the applications of revealing this visually are vast. Visionary Art describes the elusive, ethereal life, and also has spiritual and psychic meaning. Some visionary artists have automatic drawing styles, or can impart energy into the art, resulting in prophetic images, or abstract, symbolic and expressive designs that have an emotional or spiritual significance. The technology and new media further enhances the advancement of modern visionary art.

Some old masters of visionary art are Hieronymus Bosch, William Blake, Gustave Moreau, Edward Burne Jones and Max Ernst. Their art transcends the visual world, and is inspired by the world of mystical phenomena, it is a source of imagination and creation. Art that describes the unseen expresses the creative aspect of everything, which is imagination. It gives the artist the freedom to create life in a new way.
