Cultural Legacy of Spiritual TraditionLife of Body, Soul and Spirit
Spiritual science shows that living beings consist of a body, soul and spirit that shape the course of history, culture and fate.
There are three aspects to human beings which allow them to respond to the world. It is the way the body perceives the material plane, the soul observes the personal experiences of being and the spirit reveals to us what is profound in the universe. Art and culture reflects this experience of people. Theosophy explains that the body is a genetic inheritance of physical form; It forms impressions for the soul, which reshapes them into sensations, stores in memory as images and passes to spirit to be made lasting. The spirit is in an eternal process of life, death and rebirth and receives the experiences of past incarnations. The spirit reincarnates and lives in the environment created by the actions and the fruits of the experiences of the soul in previous lifetimes. Common Culture and FateAs people reincarnate the same people they meet during their life come to incarnation as well, as a result of the consequences of interactions. Many cultures developed similar concepts of truth such as sun worship or fascination with astrology and nature. History of the world from mythological time to the present has been a spiritual experience but despite the knowledge of reincarnation, life after death and the wheel of time people's lifestyle still doesn't follow the spiritual processes of life. This affects humanity’s development and happiness. People have a common culture and fate, a destiny they create themselves in every age. Spiritual traditions of the world have shown that civilizations began with an exploration of life through belief, which is why mythology and religion exists as the foundation of every culture. In the book: "Big History," by Cynthia Stokes Brown, religion affects culture by justifying and explaining life. It exists to give people answers and had an effect on philosophy, science and overall development of knowledge and society because of its insight into life. But unfortunately the spiritual process of life is constantly ignored and destructive acts like hate and war continue. Instead of realizing the eternal value of life, creating beauty and virtuous culture, the world is obsessed with trivial concept of living one life. Beyond One Life and Spiritual NatureThe truth is not so simple, and if people lived only once there would be no progress and evolution since it is experience that makes new knowledge and adaptations. This experience is not physical but psychical, reason, memory, recollection and imagination is a realm of the soul that learns and is remembered in the eternal reincarnating spirit. Life is not a stagnant process but an ever-changing, endless course. Everything that is created, invented, learned by people is a result of the knowledge obtained by the spirit. It is the spirit that is the intrinsic quality of life which is the energy that created everything physical and psychic. A culture and lifestyle that values life knows that the most reasonable way of being is in harmony with the spiritual nature. Belief is a search for spiritual truth, which is in the experience of the body, soul and spirit.
